Adelina Thomas, MFT Intern

A Note from Dr. Laura Wallace:

Welcome to Twin Lakes Counseling!
I'm so glad you are here.

I have been practicing marriage and family therapy for almost a decade and am truly passionate about the work I do. I have gathered a team of the best therapists around, and if you'll let us, we would love to explore how to use our expertise and your experience to make lasting and powerful change.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing where our work together takes us!

Adelina Thomas, MFT Intern

Pronouns: She/Her

Adelina came to therapy out of a desire to help individuals achieve their own sense of esteem and worth, increase joy and purpose in their lives, and create a life of their own design. In support of this, she chose to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University in Virgina, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy at Seattle University

During her studies and in addition to her degree, Adelina pursued further education specific to to learning about and understanding diverse groups and populations, including the LGBTQ+ community, who often go misunderstood, neglected, and even ostracized. She developed a passion for serving these individuals and their cultures well, working with them to learn more about their life experiences and ways they need support in their community.

As a therapist, Adelina likes to collaborate with her clients to bring more understanding of life events and find unique and more purposeful outcomes to their situations. She works with them to implement techniques that can be integrated into their every day lives. With Adelina, you will find a truly compassionate partner in your journey who is eager to learn more about you and ready with support and tools for you to help live the life you envision.

When she is not working with her clients, Adelina enjoys participating in community activities and going on adventures like nature hikes, learning a new skill, roller skating, or go-karting. A favorite place for her to be is in nature as it brings her a sense of peace.

Adelina is a bachelor-level clinician and marriage and family therapist intern at Seattle University. She is supervised by Rebekah Woods, LMFT (NPI number 1023457983).
