Albert Yang, MFT Intern

A Note from Dr. Laura Wallace:

Welcome to Twin Lakes Counseling!
I'm so glad you are here.

I have been practicing marriage and family therapy for almost a decade and am truly passionate about the work I do. I have gathered a team of the best therapists around, and if you'll let us, we would love to explore how to use our expertise and your experience to make lasting and powerful change.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing where our work together takes us!

Qichang (Albert) Yang, MFT Intern

Pronouns: He/Him

Albert made the decision to become a therapist after a volunteer experience with Joy in the Journey, a kids and teenagers camp. Walking alongside children working through a variety of issues, often within their own families, sparked a desire to journey alongside people during their times of struggle. Albert then decided to add to his bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE, and pursue his master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University.

Since then, Albert has found his time working with youths and their families to be highly rewarding as he helps and encourages them in becoming the best versions of themselves that they want to be and find meaning within their own lives. Albert also enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families as they work through issues such as anxiety, depression, communication problems, and life transitions. Currently he finds therapeutic modalities such as Narrative Therapy to be most helpful in guiding his clients towards a deeper understanding of themselves, the world in which they live, and their relationships.

Albert is an incredible listener and greatly values honesty within the therapeutic relationship. His mindfulness supports an open and authentic atmosphere for his clients. Albert considers it a great privilege to be able to come alongside his clients and help guide them towards achieving the life they most envision for themselves.

Albert is a bachelor-level clinician and marriage and family therapist intern. He is supervised by LaDonna Smith, LMFTA (NPI number 1285128330).
