I have been practicing marriage and family therapy for almost a decade and am truly passionate about the work I do. I have gathered a team of the best therapists around, and if you'll let us, we would love to explore how to use our expertise and your experience to make lasting and powerful change.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing where our work together takes us!
CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her
Jonobie (pronounced jawn-uh-bee) has always been interested in caring for those around her and drawn to how therapy provides so many ways of doing so. Over the course of the pandemic, she experienced many opportunities to practice this skillset through personal and professional interactions; so much so that she decided to grow her interest into a new career. Now Jonobie is pursuing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Saybrook University, building upon her first Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Ohio State University.
Jonobie meets with individuals, couples, and families working through stressors and concerns such as life transitions, trauma, depression, and anxiety. She is particularly passionate about helping people understand, develop, and explore their relationships with others and themselves. Jonobie recognizes the importance of building healthy and authentic relationships that are as unique as each human. She is particularly passionate about working with individuals who identify as polyamorous, consensually non-monogamous, queer, and those seeking balance as they navigate societal pressures.
Jonobie tailors her approach and method to each client. Some modalities she often finds useful and enjoys incorporating into her work includes person-centered, solution-focused, ACT, and structural therapy. Jonobie helps clients set clear goals early in their journey, and checks in regularly as she understands that these goals may change. She is there to support her clients as they learn to take steps that are focused and intentional.
Jonobie offers her clients a judgment-free space, a deep appreciation for the wisdom within each person, and encouragement, as she collaborates with them to find understanding and opportunities for change. She partners with her clients to better understand the world they live in while exploring strengths, offering psychoeducation, and developing tools customized for each client’s unique life. Though she is honored to support so many people in reaching their goals and knows that life consists of multiple seasons when extra help is needed, ultimately, she hopes each of her clients will experience walking out of a session feeling like they have what they need.
Jonobie is a bachelor-level mental health counselor intern supervised by Sharayah Lewis, LMHC (LF60632926; NPI number: 1528479938).
