MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
Pronouns: She/Her
Karli attributes her career in counseling to her first experience with a psychology class (Abnormal Psychology) in her Running Start college program. She was immediately drawn to wanting to understand more about what makes us human and how to use that information to help others navigate their uniquely situated lives. She pursued this interest after getting an Associates in General Studies from Pierce College achieving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Minot State University and along with her Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University.
Karli sees individuals, couples, and families struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, relational distress, and life transitions. She is particularly passionate about serving the needs of women, children, adolescents, and the LGBTQ+ community. Karli is also experienced with providing vocational therapy to those struggling with motivation, satisfaction, ability, or finding a quality work-life balance. Karli tailors her therapeutic approach to the needs of each client and has found motivational interviewing and person-centered approaches to be particularly helpful.
Karli’s clients can expect to find a positive, calm, and uplifting space as they are listened to empathetically and without judgement. She respects the courage it takes for anyone to seek help, be vulnerable, and want to make changes to their lives. Karli wants to build a trusting and open therapeutic relationship, walk alongside her clients as they (re)discover their lives, and help them take steps that will bring them closer to their ideal lifestyle. bio comming soon!
