Lucinda Bennewith-Davis, MFT Intern

A Note from Dr. Laura Wallace:

Welcome to Twin Lakes Counseling!
I'm so glad you are here.

I have been practicing marriage and family therapy for almost a decade and am truly passionate about the work I do. I have gathered a team of the best therapists around, and if you'll let us, we would love to explore how to use our expertise and your experience to make lasting and powerful change.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing where our work together takes us!

Lucinda Bennewith-Davis, MFT Intern

CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her

Lucinda has been interested in how the mind and body work together since working as a Pilates instructor specializing in rehabilitation. By working with others to achieve their goals and recover from bodily trauma, it became eviident to her how intrinsically connected our body and mind are. Lucinda's observations brought questions and curiosities that eventually led her to pursue a Master of Arts in Couples and Family Therapy from Antioch University - Seattle.

Lucinda provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families with a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and more. She is particularly passionate about working with those navigating IVF/fertility barriers, multicultural identity, mixed race families/couples seeking greater understanding and integration, and anyone curious about increasing and integrating their own body awareness with their mental health journey. Lucinda's approach to therapy is collaborative, and at the same time tailored to each of her client's needs and goals. Some examples of approoaches she has found to be useful include Narrative therapy, Solution-brief focused therapy, Structural therapy, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral therapies, and Bowenian therapy.

Lucinda brings an empathetic, warm, compassionate, and good-humored nature into the therapy room. She knows sharing our lived experiences and inner thouoghts takes courrage and vulnerability, so she prioritizes creating a space where her clients feel safe, secure, encouraged, and validated. Lucinda is honored to hear the stories of others, learn about who her clients are, and to collaboorrate with them on a way forward that is holistic, helpful, honoring, and centered on the client.

Lucinda is a bachelor-level clinician and marriage and family therapist intern at Twin Lakes Counseling. She is supervised by LaDonna Smith, LMFT ( LF61283185; NPI number  1285128330).
