Patrick Calvo, MFT Intern

A Note from Dr. Laura Wallace:

Welcome to Twin Lakes Counseling!
I'm so glad you are here.

I have been practicing marriage and family therapy for almost a decade and am truly passionate about the work I do. I have gathered a team of the best therapists around, and if you'll let us, we would love to explore how to use our expertise and your experience to make lasting and powerful change.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing where our work together takes us!

Patrick Calvo, MFT Intern

Pronouns: He/Him

Patrick comes to us having enjoyed the many opportunities life has given him to come alongside individuals from all walks of life and sojourn with them in this brilliant and deeply troubled world. It became clear to him durin ghis career that collaborating with others, uncovering authenticity, resiliency, and meaning within our stories was what he loved to do most. To pursue this new path, Patrick went back to school and is pursuing a masters in Couples and Family Therapy from Seattle University

Patrick works with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a variety of stressors and painful dynamics. He has a heart for those struggling with direction, relationships, depression, addiction, grief, and existential or spiritual questioning. Patrick also has experience with young adults and children. Currently he enjoys using Bowen Family Systems, Narrative Therapy (Post-Modern), Existential Therapy, and Rogerian Person Centered Therapy to guide his clients in self-discovery, understanding their environment, growing in their relationships, and finding healing and freedom.

Patrick brings great empathy, curiosity, and attentiveness into the therapy room. He values the dignity of personhood and believes we were made for life together. His caring personality and emphasis on trust within the therapeutic relationship is foundational as he works with his clients in an encouraging, sometimes assertive, and always humbled way. Patrick considers it a privilege to be able to come alongside his clients and help them discover who they are and how to exist courageously and authentically out of who they are.

Patrick is a bachelor-level clinician and marriage and family therapist intern at Twin Lakes Counseling. He is supervised by Dr. Jarryn Robinson, LMFT, PhD ( LF61213318; NPI number  1710320882).
