CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her
Tiffany was drawn to counseling out of a deep appreciation for and understanding of the power of relationships when seeking growth, change, healing, and hope. She has witnessed the light that therapy can provide when moments or seasons of darkness overtake us and how beautiful the work can be when a trusting and authentic relationship forms in the therapy room. Having worked as a community mental health case manager for adults in Pierce County, and for unaccompanied minors in Houston, Texas, and for foster care youth in Washington State, Tiffany is now excited to be pursuing her Master of Arts in Couples and Family Therapy at Seattle University.
Tiffany enjoys working with diverse populations as an advocate for social change. She works with individuals, couples, and families including children, adolescents, and young adults, who are experiencing a variety of stressors and mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, stress, relational conflict, and life transitions. Tiffany is particularly interested in supporting those undergoing divorce and needing help with mediation, dispute resolution, and its application in the legal field, court processes, and family law.
Tiffany's aim is to work alongside her clients to navigate the daily life stressors they bring with them to therapy by providing clients with an empathetic, non-judgmental, and safe therapeutic space. The counseling techniques that Tiffany uses include, but are not limited to, solution-focused techniques, emotion-focused therapy, structural family therapy, play, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Her desire is to collaborate with clients on navigating their journey through life, relationships, and with themselves.
Tiffany brings empathy, curiosity, compassion, and acceptance into the therapy room. Her warm personality and emphasis on providing clients with a safe space within the therapeutic relationship is foundational as she works collaboratively with clients to support them in their goals, healing, presenting concerns, and therapeutic journey. Tiffany is humbled to work alongside her clients in therapy and to offer them support, understanding, and acceptance.
Tiffany is a bachelor-level clinician and marriage and family therapist intern at Twin Lakes Counseling. She is supervised by Dr. Jarryn Robinson, LMFT, PhD (LF61213318; NPI number 1710320882).
