Maria Hamper (she/her) has worked with outpatient and inpatient mental health organizations for over the last ten years in the Puget Sound area. She graduated from the University of Washington of Social Work in 2020 with an emphasis in clinical practice. Her mission has been to support and advocate for those who struggle with mental health barriers, with a person centered approach. Maria enjoys getting to know others and their authentic selves. She meets clients where they are at to help them reach their goals. Maria is a reliable, consistent, and compassionate professional who will give her time to those who seek services.
Maria works with individuals, couples and families who struggle with interpersonal conflicts. She is inclusive of those who are marginalized and are experiencing distress with themselves, others, or the environment. Her strengths are represented by her education and training surrounding diversity, systems theory, psychotherapy, treatment planning, and care coordination. Maria is understanding of societal barriers and the needs clients may face when presented with uncontrollable situations. She empowers those in therapy to reach their ultimate self-actualization by addressing the steps to get there. She will adapt her clinical approach and practice to match the client’s priority and presenting problems.
