Jessica is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University, with an expected graduation date of March 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Capella University. Jessica’s journey to therapy has been driven by a desire to support others and a genuine love for people. She has professional experience working as a care coordinator, where she helped with testing and assessments. Additionally, she has served as a program therapist at an eating and recovery center. These roles have enriched an understanding and passion for helping individuals on their path to healing and self-discovery.
Jessica is excited to work with a diverse range of client’s including individuals, couples, and families, offering support across a wide age range starting from adolescence through late adulthood. Special areas of interest include, but are not limited to, sex addictions and other concerns revolving around sex, trauma, eating disorders/disordered eating, depression, anxiety, prison populations, and military personnel. Jessica utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach, combining person-centered therapy, Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT), strengths-focused methods, and psychoeducation. This eclectic approach allows her to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs and goals.
When you step into a session with Jessica, you can expect an atmosphere filled with golden retriever energy—bubbly, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited to support you in your healing journey. Her goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment. With a gentle directness, her aim is to guide you to your own growth. Sessions tend to be future-oriented, and she will work to ensure you feel seen, heard, and empowered. By the end of your time together, her hope is that you walk away with the confidence to say, "I can do this.”
