CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her
Megan’s desire to work in a helping profession began when she was young. She found great joy and appreciation for being able to come alongside people and find ways to support them. While talking to a counselor in college, Megan determined that the wholistic care provided through therapy resonated with her. After earning her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University she decided to continue her education at SPU in pursuit of a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Megan feels so honored to be able to help others through therapy, particularly in today’s climate and increased stressors due to the pandemic. She feels that now, more than ever, it is important for each of us to seek care for ourselves. Megan currently works with individuals, couples, and families struggling with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, major life transitions, relationship conflict, self-esteem, or low motivation. She also has a passion for working with youth and young adults as they move through these very influential years.
Megan enjoys the wholistic nature of therapy and how it can positively impact not only our mental health, but our physical, relational, environmental, and spiritual health as well. In support of this wholistic approach, Megan enjoys using Solution-focused Therapy and Emotion-focused Therapy. She uses a variety of tools and techniques to help her clients address their primary concerns, maintain awareness of other areas that might be affected, and achieve their goals.
Megan is a bachelor-level marriage and family therapy intern. She is supervised by LaDonna Smith, LMFT (LF61283185; NPI number 1285128330).
