Alexis Osborne, MHC Intern

Alexis Osbrone, MHC Intern

CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her

Coming from a cultural background where conversations about mental health can carry significant stigma, I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for support. My goal is to make that first step feel a little less intimidating by creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and safe. Everyone deserves a space to feel fully themselves without fear of judgement.

I work with people across the lifespan and with a range of topics including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, self-esteem and identity, and life transitions. I am specifically drawn to supporting women in the perinatal time period and believe authentic and supportive help can positively impact the whole family system. I am dedicated to supporting marginalized and historically underserved communities in mental health, as well as individuals impacted by the sex work industry. I passionately advocate for individuals whose experiences are often misunderstood, stigmatized, or overlooked. I believe everyone deserves access to mental health support in an environment where they feel respected, understood, and empowered and I strive to provide that to all who walk through my door.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, each session is individualized to meet clients where they are and honor their unique experiences, needs, and goals. I draw from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, and trauma-informed principles to create a supportive, collaborative, and compassionate space for growth. Together, we can explore patterns, experiences, and challenges that may be contributing to distress or feelings of being stuck, while building greater self-awareness and practical coping skills. My goal is to help clients feel understood and supported as they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

I strive to build authentic, trusting relationships where clients feel comfortable showing up as their full selves. My role is not to “fix” anyone, because I do not believe that people are broken. Instead, I view therapy as a collaborative process that creates space to explore and better understand life experiences, identify what may be getting in the way, and work toward meaningful change. I lead with empathy and compassion while also believing that meaningful growth requires honesty, self-reflection, and accountability. I support clients throughout the therapeutic process while gently encouraging them to examine patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that may no longer be serving them. My hope is to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to navigate challenges, deepen their self-understanding, and create meaningful change in their lives.

As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I work with individuals, couples and relational structures, families, and in group therapy settings. I am particularly passionate about working with women, marginalized communities, and individuals navigating trauma, relationships, life transitions, and perinatal/postpartum experiences.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington, Seattle, and am currently completing my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University (anticipated graduation June 2027). I am also a member of Chi Sigma Iota honor society.

My goal is to help clients develop the insight, skills, resilience, and self-trust needed to navigate challenges and move forward with confidence. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they work toward feeling more empowered, capable, and equipped to continue moving forward independently.

Outside of the counseling room, I’m a mother who values time with family and the meaningful moments created with the people I love. I’m also a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys exploring new restaurants, discovering new places, and finding the small moments that make everyday life memorable. Balancing motherhood and the many roles I hold in my own life has deepened my appreciation for connection, growth, and the experiences that shape who we are. I value authenticity, meaningful connection, advocacy, and lifelong learning, and I’m continually inspired by the people, communities, and experiences that expand my perspective.
