I aim to provide my clients with a calm place of respite from the noise of everyday life. A place that is free of judgement, opinion, competition, or comparison. Here, you are the expert on your own life, and I am the student.
I have an optimistic, compassionate, direct, and yet down-to-earth personality and implement practical, evidence-based therapeutic approaches to foster hope, teach skills, and encourage healing. I aim to collaboratively empower clients to both recognize and access the strength and resiliency that already exists within them.
I am eager to help you write the chapter on healing in your story!
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR
Pronouns: She/Her
Cherie works to build a unique therapeutic relationship with each of her clients in which they can safely and confidently identify, sort, and explore the thoughts and feelings that have been buried or building up inside. Here she believes the client is the expert in their own life, and she is the student.
With a strong foundation in research-based approaches, Cherie is passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing issues stemming from internalized oppression, racial identity cultivation, workplace discrimination, leadership cultivation, anxiety, life
transitions, and attachment injuries. Although her primary passion lies in her work with women who identify as persons of color, she deeply values working with adults of all religions, races, genders, and identities through multiculturally competent, socially aware, and integrative therapies.
Clients can expect to discover a therapist who believes strongly in the resiliency of the human spirit and strives to help others recognize, access, and cultivate their own strengths through a collaborative therapeutic process. With Cherie you will find a compassionate, down-to-earth, and still optimistic therapist with an incredible amount of knowledge and experience to help guide you to living the life you desire most for yourself.
Cherie received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University Online with concentrations in Psychology and Counseling and holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same school.
