Jason has spent over 20 years leading, coaching, and mentoring individuals of all ages in various non-profit and service industry organizations. Along the way, he discovered the gift of therapy in his own life and saw the transformational power it had in the lives of those around him. Jason's passion for serving others, intertwined with his lifelong desire to be in a continuous state of growth, led him to acquire a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
Jason works with individuals, couples, and teenagers who are navigating the complexities of their lives in many forms including: trauma, addiction, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, depression, anxiety, emotional abuse, harassment/bullying, and those dealing with religious trauma. Jason is inspired by the expansive possibilities of client-centered therapy, approaching each session with curiosity and creativity. He listens deeply for the truths beneath his clients’ words and beliefs, honoring them as the experts of their own story.
Clients partnering with Jason are welcomed into a setting infused with warmth, compassion, and wholehearted acceptance. Together, he and his clients co-create a supportive and productive space, working to develop a structure that best fits their unique needs. Believing that our identities are shaped primarily through relationships, Jason works from a relational-psychodynamic perspective, utilizing Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems techniques to help clients understand what they have come to believe about themselves, deepen their sense of self, and live into their preferred story. Defining or redefining our story of “self” is challenging work made easier through the safe and exploratory framework that each successive session builds upon.
