Holly Coe, LMHC

Holly Coe, LMHC

Pronouns: She/Her

Holly has known since middle school that being a counselor was a career possibility due to her passion for supporting and connecting with others on a deeper level during times of hardship. Holly earned her bachelor's degree in English from Saint Martin's University, and the entire time she was in school, she felt her calling to become a clinician grow. She decided it was time to actualize her dream, so she went on to obtain her Masters in Counseling, also from Saint Martin's University, and has never looked back. Holly enjoys actively working with clients to help them see that transformation and healing is possible. She is particularly interested in working with individuals and couples experiencing life transitions, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex-PTSD, anxiety and depression. Holly is experienced in supporting single parents on their journey, clergy, and values being able to serve the military and first responder communities.

Holly's approach to therapy is informed by evidence-based practices utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to serve the specific needs of the client. She most often uses modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, psychoanalytic therapy and solution-focused therapy. She is also happy to integrate Christian Counseling into therapy for clients who request it.

Holly views her clients as having many strengths before starting therapy and also having immense potential for growth, change, and healing. Whether experiencing a brief, but particularly difficult season of life due to a specific life event or transition, or needing support coping with chronic challenges that make daily life difficult, Holly provides her clients with an authentic, direct, and nurturing demeanor as she works with them to move towards their goals. She is there to help identify strengths and gifts that already exist and work with you to help reduce or manage distressing patterns that you would like to see change in order to move closer to the life you envision for yourself.
