MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
Pronouns: He/Him
Daniel appreciates opportunities in life to experience the power and importance of relationships that foster growth, seek understanding, and value humanity. His life experiences navigating personal goals, the intricacies of relationships, and life-altering events that come with living in a complex world all seemed to call him to a career as a mental health counselor. So, Daniel pursued and obtained a master's degree in Counseling from Seattle University.
Daniel offers individual, couple, and family therapy for those struggling with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, finding identity, relationship concerns, and stress management. While he tailors his approach to each individual client and their unique circumstances and needs, Daniel values a person-centered approach to therapy that recognizes and utilizes the inherent expertise of the client. He also has found feminist theory and relational-cultural therapy to be beneficial and supportive for their recognition that human beings grow through and toward connection with others, while isolation is often a major source of suffering.
Daniel is honored to hear the stories of others and come alongside them in darker, discouraging, confusing, or seemingly impossible times. He offers his clients a trusting and safe environment in which to explore and discover the complexities of their worlds. Clients will find Daniel to be a kind, warm, good humored, and patient listener, motivated to guide each one through the journey towards growth, change, and understanding.
