CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: She/Her/They/Them
As a systems oriented provider, Devrim naturally draws insight from clients’ essential relationships, past and present. With this knowledge she is able to locate individuals within the larger social-ecosystem, ultimately helping clients identify and -when needed- release historical burdens. Devrim is particularly interested in issues associated with neurodivergence, multiculturalism, and LGBTQIA+ identities. She is intrinsically pulled to somatic work and is working toward becoming a somatic EMDR practitioner, believing that our ability to connect mind and body brings a deeper understanding of core needs and how these shape who we are. Devrim clinically pulls from strategic and structural family systems theories and the evidence-based relational model: Emotionally Focused Therapy.
When working with Devrim, you will be met with warmth, acceptance, and visibility for who you are. Devrim approaches therapy with a strengths-based perspective. The “work” will be founded on empowerment, resilience, and collaboration. Together you’ll figure out what you want, how that fits your life, and make a plan to get you there.
With a genuine belief that people can create great change in their lives, Devrim will bear witness, encourage, equip, and empower you during your time together.
Devrim is a bachelor's-level mental health counseling intern at Twin Lakes Counseling. They are supervised by Trisha Leonard, LICSW (NPI 1174841571, License LW61014335).
