CLINICAL INTERN
Pronouns: He/Him
Alex has first-hand experience with the messy, complicated parts of life and has learned the hard way how to rise from them. His personal journey fuels his passion for helping others navigate adversity and rewrite their own stories. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Antioch University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Seattle University. His love for writing, music, and painting often finds its way into his work, because healing doesn’t always speak in straight lines.
Alex enjoys working with teens, children, and families facing trauma, grief, communication struggles, and relationship challenges. His approach blends systemic, solution-focused, and narrative therapies with an emphasis on honesty, creativity, and compassion. He believes in turning difficult experiences into teachable moments—without losing the humor and humanity that make growth possible.
In sessions, clients can expect a collaborative, clear-eyed partnership. Alex will help clients dig into the past to shape the future, weaving structure with curiosity and creativity. Whether through conversation, art, or imagination, he aims to create a space where clients feel both safe and challenged—because real change happens when we’re willing to meet life head-on.
Alex is a bachelor's level marriage and family therapy intern at Twin Lakes Counseling. He is supervised by Megan Simmons, LMFT (NPI 1881495356, License LF 60579024).
