MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR ASSOCIATE
Pronouns: She/Her
Haley became a counselor because she knows how transformative it can be to feel truly heard, seen, and understood, especially in times of difficulty. She wants to offer that same safe, compassionate presence to others as they find their own paths toward healing. Haley Elliott is a Mental Health Counselor Associate who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from Washington State University. Haley’s clinical experience includes providing individual counseling at Spokane Psychology and Neuropsychology, where she supported clients navigating anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, life transitions, and intra and interpersonal challenges. She also supported at-risk youth as a Behavioral Health Technician at Pearl Youth Center, an experience that strengthened her commitment to creating safe and trusting environments for growth and healing.
Haley is passionate about walking alongside teens, young adults, adults, and older adults as they face life’s challenges and transitions. She values curiosity, openness, transparency, and a whole-person approach, believing that healing involves not only addressing symptoms, but also fostering resilience, meaning, and growth. She is especially interested in supporting diverse populations, including clients from varied cultural backgrounds and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those who may be navigating difficult life experiences, grief, anxiety, trauma, intrapersonal concerns, or identity-related challenges. Haley views herself as a guide who walks alongside clients on their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and growth.
Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, relational, and client-centered. Haley believes that lasting change comes from feeling genuinely seen, known, and supported. She strives to build relationships rooted in safety, authenticity, and compassion. Drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), she tailors her work to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. She sees therapy as a space for exploration and empowerment, where clients can process their past, navigate the present, and create hope for the future. Haley provides both in-person and telehealth sessions.
Outside of counseling, Haley enjoys engaging with the community, cuddling with her cat, Miss Bugs, and her dog, Miss Shrimps, as well as spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, and engaging in lifelong learning. She is honored to be part of Twin Lakes Counseling and to contribute to its mission of compassionate, accessible care for all.
